Last updated: 11 August 2026

ANTOVELLE is operated by Anthony Costa Sofocleous, trading as ANTOVELLE. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit or use antovelle.com, create an account, communicate with us, or make a purchase or other transaction through our store (the “Services”). ANTOVELLE is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to operate the Services.

1. Data controller and contact details

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the data controller is:

Anthony Costa Sofocleous, trading as ANTOVELLE
Hytron 2, Pharaoh Elena 49, Apartment 301
4005 Limassol, Cyprus
Email: antoniscisco@gmail.com
Telephone: +357 99 426984

2. Personal information we collect or process

Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect or process:

  • Contact information, such as your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address and telephone number.
  • Order and transaction information, such as products viewed or ordered, order history, returns, exchanges, cancellations, delivery details, payment method, payment status and transaction records.
  • Account information, such as account identifiers, preferences and settings.
  • Communications, including information you provide when contacting customer support or making a privacy request.
  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser or device information, identifiers, and information about how you interact with the store.
  • Marketing and consent information, such as newsletter preferences, cookie choices and advertising preferences where applicable.

Payment credentials are processed securely by Shopify and the relevant payment provider, such as Shopify Payments or PayPal. ANTOVELLE generally does not directly receive or store your full payment-card number, CVV or equivalent sensitive payment credentials.

3. Sources of personal information

We may receive personal information:

  • directly from you when you browse, create an account, place an order, request a return or communicate with us;
  • automatically through Shopify and technologies used by the store, including cookies and similar technologies;
  • from service providers that help us operate the Services;
  • from payment providers, fraud-prevention providers, delivery carriers, Syncee and relevant product suppliers or fulfilment partners; and
  • from marketing or analytics partners where their use is lawful and, where required, you have consented.

4. Purposes and legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or equivalent European data protection rules apply, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract and pre-contractual steps: to process orders and payments, create or manage customer accounts, arrange fulfilment and delivery, provide order updates, handle returns, refunds and exchanges, and respond to requests connected with a purchase.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with applicable accounting, tax, consumer-protection, record-keeping, regulatory and lawful governmental requirements.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the store, prevent and investigate fraud or misuse, manage supplier and fulfilment relationships, improve the Services, understand store performance, maintain appropriate business records and protect our legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent: where required for optional marketing communications, non-essential cookies, personalised advertising or other processing that legally requires consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to operate and improve ANTOVELLE, including to:

  • process purchases, payments, fulfilment, delivery, returns and refunds;
  • provide customer service and respond to enquiries;
  • secure the store and detect or prevent fraud, abuse and unlawful activity;
  • meet legal and regulatory obligations;
  • measure and improve store performance and customer experience; and
  • send marketing or provide personalised advertising only where permitted by applicable law and subject to required choices or consent.

6. How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Recipient categories may include:

  • Shopify, which hosts and operates the ecommerce platform and processes information necessary to provide and improve the Services.
  • Payment providers, including Shopify Payments and PayPal, for payment processing, fraud prevention and transaction administration.
  • Syncee and selected product suppliers or fulfilment partners. Because ANTOVELLE uses approved Syncee suppliers and other fulfilment resources connected with those supplier relationships, the information necessary to fulfil an order—such as your name, delivery address, contact information and order details—may be provided to the supplier or fulfilment partner responsible for preparing and dispatching the relevant product.
  • Delivery and logistics providers that transport and track your order.
  • Technology, security, analytics, customer-support and professional service providers where needed to operate and protect the business.
  • Public authorities, courts, regulators or advisers where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

ANTOVELLE does not currently operate as part of a corporate group, so we do not describe routine sharing with group affiliates as part of our present business operations.

7. Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes information about access to and use of the store to provide, secure and improve its platform. Information submitted through the Services may therefore be transmitted to Shopify and its service providers, including in countries other than your country of residence. Shopify may also process certain information for its own purposes where it acts as an independent controller, including in connection with Shopify features or network services. Shopify’s own consumer privacy information and privacy portal provide further information about those activities and applicable rights.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The store may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as security, cart, checkout and account functionality. Analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies are used in accordance with applicable consent requirements. Where required, you can manage these choices through the store’s privacy or cookie controls and through your browser settings.

9. International transfers

Shopify, Syncee, suppliers, fulfilment partners or other service providers may process personal information outside Cyprus or the European Economic Area. Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for such a transfer, we or the relevant service provider will rely on an approved transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.

10. Security

We use appropriate organisational and technical measures, together with the security provided by Shopify and relevant service providers, to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending sensitive information through insecure communication channels.

11. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to fulfil orders, provide customer service, maintain legally required accounting and business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. The appropriate retention period depends on the type of information, why it is processed and applicable legal requirements.

12. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of personal information in circumstances provided by law;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format and request transfer where applicable; and
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise a privacy right, contact antoniscisco@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Exercising your rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.

13. Marketing choices

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism included in marketing messages. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send transactional or service communications relating to orders, accounts, security or legal matters.

14. Complaints

If you have concerns about our handling of personal information, please contact us first so we can investigate. You also have the right, where applicable, to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority. For ANTOVELLE’s Cyprus establishment, the relevant authority is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

15. Children

The Services are not intended for children to make purchases independently. We do not knowingly seek to collect children’s personal information except where lawfully provided by a parent or guardian or otherwise permitted by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us improperly, contact us so that we can assess the appropriate action.

16. Third-party websites

The Services may contain links to websites or platforms operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and ANTOVELLE is not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices merely because a link appears on our website.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our store, technology, suppliers, fulfilment arrangements or legal obligations. The current version will be posted on the website with an updated date where appropriate.
